Movie Screening: The songs of fire

On November 28, 2025, HCAAO screened at York University the acclaimed and unique musical-political documentary “Songs of Fire/Τα τραγούδια της φωτιάς", an ode to the Metapolifesi by Nikos Koundouros, to commemorate the November 17, 1973, Athens Polytechnic uprising against Greece’s dictators. Our Treasurer, John Simoulidis, edited the translation and subtitles and our colleague and friend of the Association Professor Kostis Kornetis, of Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, introduced the film to our audience, live from Spain.
