HCAAO hosts Alkinoos Ioannidis

The Hellenic Canadian Academic Association of Ontario was thrilled to host Alkinoos Ioannidis in Toronto for a lecture and a concert!

The lecture titled “The Word and the Note” took place at Toronto Metropolitan University. Special and many thanks to colleague and member of our Association Professor Kostis Georgiou, for his initiative, help and the logistical support in hosting the lecture on October 30, 2024 at Ted Rogers School of Management at the TMU.

A few days later, on November 1, 2024 Alkinoos offered a musical experience that will be remembered by all 300 approximately friends and colleagues in the audience of the Nanji Foundation Auditorium at the Aga Khan Museum. Special thanks to our past president of HCAAO Theodore Tolias for suggesting that we host the concert at the Aga Khan Museum auditorium. Many thanks also to Konstantina Zanou, colleague and professor of Mediterranean Studies of Columbia University, who brought us in touch with Alkinoos.

The event was a great success and we are grateful to all those who helped; our members, Petros Pechlivanoglou and Tina Tzatzanis especially.
