Second HCAAO symposium

The Hellenic Canadian Academic Association of Ontario (HCAAO), with the generous support of the
Hellenic Heritage Foundation and additional support from
the Polydor Foundation,
REMAX Ultimate (Tim Syrianos, Broker),
the Greek Community of Toronto – Program Paideia,
the Cypriot Federation of Canada, and
the Panarcadian Federation of Canada, and
under the auspices of the Greek Consulate in Toronto, organizes
the second HCAAO Symposium.
The Symposium is open to Greek and Greek-Canadian scientists of Ontario,
students, press, local authorities and the general audience.

The Symposium includes short presentations
by faculty members of Greek descent across Ontario universities,
on topics relevant to their research.
All areas of science, humanities, engineering, medicine, etc, are covered.

*March 31:* Announcement of presenters
*April 18:* Registration deadline
*April 21:* Second HCAAO Symposium

Venue: Room SF 1101, Sandford Fleming Building, University of Toronto,
10 King’s College Rd, Toronto.
Date: Saturday, April 21, 2018, 9:30AM – 4:30PM.

Keynote speaker: Prof. Evangelia Tastsoglou, St. Mary’s University
Title: From Greece to Canada: 21st Century Transnational Migration in the Context of the Greek Crisis

There will also be a discussion/commentary on the theme
“Brain Drain or Brain Gain”, with invited speaker Prof. Sedef Arat-Koc, Ryerson University,
as well as a graduate student poster presentation session.
