Greek islanders to be nominated for Nobel peace prize: petition

Greece is a country in crisis, but Greeks keep saving other people in other crises.
About 900,000 refugees passed in 2015 to the Greek islands in the Aegean, fleeing war and terror and seeking a safe shelter and a hope for a better life.
And the Greeks, despite their own problems, are there to help them.

A petition is underway to request that the Greek islanders be awarded the Nobel peace prize.

And since, as well known, Lesbos got most of the weight of the refugees flow, there is a separate petition for the people of Lesbos.
